You Know You're a Toreador When

It's an hour before dawn and you still haven't finished getting dressed for the evening.

You realize you're late to the party because you were staring in the mirror for three hours.

You can't pay rent because you spent all your money on new paint brushes.

You've had box seats at the opera for more years than you can count.

You have a mirror attached to the inside of your coffin.

You just love to gaze into the dancing flames.

That stake was carved quite beautifully...

You have more art on your walls than wall.

You refuse to use electric lights, because you have such great taste in candles.

You installed speakers in your coffin because you couldn't stand to part with your musical pleasures for an hour, let alone a day.

You know you're a Toreador when you remember attending the premiere of La Boheme ... and that you were with Puccini before the performance.

Thanks to CFSER and Lissa Pruitt for contributions.
