Now, to me, the Macintosh for the Toreador is an obvious choice, but there may be someone out there who needs an explanation.
First of all, the Macintosh operating system is, by definition, a graphical-user interface. The original and still the best. Don't get me started on Windows, because every true Macolyte knows that Windows is nothing but a pale imitation of the Real Thing. So, being graphically driven, the Macintosh has a pretty, visually attractive layout, what with all the icons and the fancy patterns on the desktop. This is a natural for Toreadors with their clan weakness of fascination with beauty. Surely there's more than one Tory type who's been stuck staring at their Mac screen for hours on end!
Next and most importantly, Macintosh is the unquestioned standard in every industry that requires graphic design and other creative activities. Publishing (book, magazine, newspaper, and desktop), advertising, video editing, music composition, you name it, if it's a creative industry, you'll find Macs in the designer's office -- not PCs. Wintel machines are fine for spreadsheets and other boring business applications, but the Macintosh is a graphic designer's first and only choice. Toreadors thrive in all creative arts endeavors, thus they are all Mac users, through and through. For example, all of these films were edited on a Mac: The American President, Ace Ventura, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Jumanji, Nixon, Sabrina, Sudden Death, Toy Story, and Waiting to Exhale. Many websites have more real-life examples of Macs in use in the arts.
Lastly, and this is for the Poseurs in the audience, Macintosh is the underdog in the operating system wars. Despite Apple's successes and woes, the Mac OS has maintained nothing more than ten percent of the personal computer market. Owning a Mac says you're not afraid to take risks, you're not one to go with the crowd. So all those Tory Poseurs who are desperately trying to stay in the avant-garde would buy a Mac. Wintel is for the tradition-bound Ventrue and their flunkies. Toreadors would rather go out on a limb for a Mac.
Now if only more Toreadors were in Apple's marketing department...
