Cartridge-pleating while mildly intoxicated is fun! The stitches might not be even, but they aren’t when I’m stone cold sober either \ud83d\ude42 The gingham trick is actually more of a pain in the arse than just eyeballing the stitch length. Dunno if I’ll bother again (but I have yards and yards of gingham strips all ready, if need be).<\/p>\n

And FYI — this gorgeous purple flocked fabric is what started the whole thing in the first place! I’ve had it for years and thought it would make a lovely full skirt with a fitted jacket. Not Victorian though, definitely Georgian, 1700s something. The fabric just lurked in The Stash, waiting till the right project came into my head…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
