I think instead of covering shoes for Leonard (because the buckles arrived while we were gone), I’m going to make a tiny tricorn to perch atop his wig. Should take about the same amount of time and most of the same materials (all of which are in The Stash).<\/p>\n

Inspired by my decision to use the black cane with silver fittings instead of my brown cane with gold fittings. Which meant that I can easily wear my black shoes with silver buckles as they’ll coordinate nicely (yeah, whateves, I’m the only one who cares about such things). Also, I’m still not sold on the purple base shoes I had planned to use. The heel is a bit high for a man’s shoe, whereas the black shoes have a low, squat heel, even if the Martha style does have the girly fan front. It’s a compromise either way.<\/p>\n

But hey, tiny tricorn FTW!<\/p>\n

Also, I checked and I do have just enough patches. I was considering buying more from Jen, but I have plenty for now. I’ll buy some of her spooky patches later for Constance, as I’m down to just bats for her (not that this is a bad thing, but diversity in gothic mouches is nice too ;-).<\/p>\n

Made a wee hatform just now. It’s nothing special, but it’s nice to know I can crank sthing like this out in an hour.<\/p>\n

Used a plate and some Tupperware to get the right size circles, did two paper mockups till I liked the size, and glued together a buckram form with FabriTac. Don’t have time to sew it properly.<\/p>\n
