Looking through all of your blogs, I found a plenthora of pretty hats finished in September! And at least one of you started a purse! Yay! I’ll admit, I’m still working on hats myself (mostly modern stuff because I’m totally bald<\/a> now, due to chemo, tho’ I also made a new 16th-century coif & re-trimmed an old hat to wear to an SCA event, pix to come next week).<\/p>\n

Next up, due in November is fans, & I have a bunch of research to share on that topic in the next few weeks, plus maybe I can get a guest post in or link to some expert content. We’ll see. In the meantime, check out your fellow accessorizers’ lovely work!<\/p>\n

Jen Bristow at Suburban Pagan<\/a> made a simple Regency beret for the GBACG’s Tall Ships Adventure<\/a> event, & several bloggers made Regency hats for this event. Unfortunately, it was cancelled at the last minute, but I’m sure the event will be rescheduled because the theme was extremely popular. Those hats & outfits won’t go to waste.<\/p>\n

Debbie Mac Rory of Artisan Alchemy<\/a> got a lot done this past month, including an extravagantly trimmed Victorian hat. Love that rich velvet.<\/p>\n

The Laced Angel<\/a> made a great big Regency tall bonnet in striking colors. She started the hat in a GBACG class by the wonderful milliner Lynn McMasters<\/a> — if you ever have a chance to take one of her classes, such as in the SF Bay Area, at Costume College, or elsewhere, do it! Or at least check out her patterns, they work well.<\/p>\n

Quincy134 at In the Long Run<\/a> added fancy trim to a nice 18th-century straw hat to complete her ensemble. Sometimes, that’s all it takes to accessorize head to toe \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

CFGriffith<\/a> made a fantastic giant Gainsborough hat, all ready to be decorated. What a versatile topper for so many 18th-century outfits.<\/p>\n

Chelsea of A Sartorial Statement<\/a> made a Regency tall bonnet, but not for sailing — she very kindly made this pretty hat for her mother to wear at a Regency tea.<\/p>\n

Sahrye at It Came From the Stash!<\/a> did indeed make her Regency bonnet for the cancelled Tall Ships Adventure, & she made it from a Lynn McMasters pattern (smart :). Take a look at this gorgeous color combo.<\/p>\n
