But for some reason, I had the idea to make this one, a faux Fortuny dress. I&#8217;d been looking around for that pre-pleated &#8220;plisse&#8221; fabric that mimics the style of Fortuny&#8217;s elusive silk pleating, and I stumbled across some poly stuff in this gorgeous purple.<\/p>\n<p>So I whipped up a basic tube shape with a neck hole, which actually took a couple tries to get the right overall width and cut the right size of neck.
