It was freakishly hot the night of the party, so these are not the best pix o’ me, as wearing a wig makes me pour gallons o’ sweat (I’m *such* a lady). But halfway thru the night, I went to the restroom and saw myself in the mirror and realized, damn, this looks good! Totally worth it. I will have to wear this ensemble again, hopefully in cooler climes \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 Take a look at Diana’s photos<\/a> of the party on Flickr.<\/p>\n

This is has since become my most-frequently worn 18th-century gown. It’s just so pretty and flattering! I’ve worn it at Colonial Williamsburg<\/a> and various Lumieres events<\/a>. I don’t always wear it with the ship wig because that part is a bit cumbersome. But it goes equally well with a hedgehog style, as wore it in France at Chateau de Pys…<\/p>\n
