Gothic Heroine at Costume College

This was a quickie costume I threw together for Costume College because I’d heard the Friday Night Social had some kind of literature cosplay theme. Also, it was the hottest summer on record, I was only going to be at the event for a short time, thus I needed an easy, comfortable outfit. What’s better than a cotton nightie?

As an English Literature grad-school dropout, I love to wander the moors like a gothic heroine, so I already had a romantic white nightgown in my closet (from April Cornell some years ago). I just added gothy makeup and a darker hairpiece to cover up some of my then-pink hair.
