French Tart

Posted on June 20, 2013 by Trystan

For the Northern California Pirate Festival in 2013, Bella Donna attended as “The House of the Rising Sun,” a New Orleans house of ill repute and gambling establishment. So we dressed in essentially 18th-century undress, plus lots of makeup and bling. Since I wasn’t satisfied with anything in my closet, I whipped up a new skirt from some pink dupioni silk in The Stash and a new chemise, both trimmed with black lace (also from The Stash), all in about two evenings’ of work. These garments were meant to coordinate with my wig that has a pink and black glittery ship in it, of course.

A few pictures from the event…

I saw my dad last night. He was showing me pics from Pirate Fest and it was fun to keep saying “hey that’s Trystan” and so on. I hope he wasn’t too much of a pest. I’ll drop you guys a link once he posts them online.
