Gianetta’s Venetian, First Wearing

Posted on August 27, 2013 by Trystan

At Purgatorio 2013, we premiered Gianetta’s new outfit, a Venetian 1580s gown, to complete the obligation of my Queen’s Artisan duties. However, the outfit isn’t entirely done — I still have accessories to make (such as the partlet with ruff, camicia with Liz’s embroidery, & a jeweled cap), & I intend to pearl & bead the neckline of the bodice. So watch for Mark II at 12th Night! Still, she looked lovely & received many compliments.

SO pretty! She looks so elegant and regal. I love all the lace — the cuffs, the shoulder ruffs, etc. Can’t wait to see the last fiddly bits!

Thank you! I think all of Bella Donna needs sleeve ruffs now.
