Black & Gold Silk Venetian Courtesan Gown

Posted on February 15, 2015 by Trystan L. Bass

Also know as my goth courtesan gown. I’ve wanted something like this ever since I joined Bella Donna Historical Performers, but it took a while for the right fabric to come along. And even then, I didn’t have the time to make it myself — so I commissioned Sarah to do it.

But I did make a full wig with the classic “courtesan” horns (because when you lose your hair from chemo, you have a lot to make up for), plus I hand-sewed a black silk chiffon veil and made some new jewelry. Outdoor photos are from Much Ado About Sebastopol 2014 by Sarah, and indoor photos are from SCA West Kingdom 12th Night 2015 by Sandra Linehan.
