The Bella Donna Historical Performers were invite to participate at the Wyld Hunt Fae Ball in 2025. The event’s theme was fairy and fantasy, but somehow we landed on doing witchy dark group costumes. We all bought the same filmy black fabric and made our own style of drapey gowns with it. Everyone created some kind of witchy headdress, and we all accessorized with creepy makeup, fake tattoos, and spooky jewelry.
I winged it on the dress, just making a simple tunic gathered at the shoulders and belted.
For my headdress, I used a set of black vinyl batwings that a friend had given me. I cut them apart and wired/glued them to a headband, plus decorated the base with fabric and ribbons. I wore it with a leather horned headpiece I got for a Carnevale costume.
I really enjoyed trying out a bunch of gothy fake tattoos — I’ve never gotten a real one, partly because of the needles but also because I can’t decide on one specific design. But faux is fun!
The last touch was a ton of black makeup with a black gem face sticker piece that I’d been saving for jus the right outfit.

The group looked fantastic all together!
